'Meet the Experts' Discussion Series on Red Hat Certifications for Linux System Administrators

PACE Institute organized and hosted a valuable presentation and discussion introducing the popular Red Hat Certifications for Linux System Administrators on September 20 2013 from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm at the PACE Institute auditorium. This was the first in a series of discussions themed, 'meet the experts' planned by PACE Institute, to increase the awareness and understanding of the Red Hat Certifications among the Sri Lankan students. This free discussion was a rare opportunity to learn a whole lot more about Red Hat - Linux training, career opportunities, and clarify any doubts the students had about this world- renowned qualification.

The discussion was attended by Linux enthusiasts among whom were school leavers after A/Ls, undergraduates, professionals, etc.

Red Hat trainer and Consultant Mr. Neju Paul who has nearly 7 years of experience in training and facilitating students, conducted the discussion which proved to be highly informative. Mr. Neju Paul is a proficient consultant instructor for Red Hat India having an educational background in Electronic & Communication Engineering who has been certified with all the Red Hat certifications. Mr. Paul is responsible for training and consultancy of Asia Pacific region and has vast experience in training and interacting with students.

In the discussion important topics such as Introduction to Red Hat, importance of obtaining Red hat certification and its relevancy and applicability in the contemporary job markets, both locally and globally, market demand for Linux certified IT professionals and career paths and opportunities for successful career growth were discussed.

Mr. Rohan de Silva (B. Sc. IT Special (Hons.), RHCE, RHCI, RHCDS, RHCVA) - an industry expert and also a Red Hat trainer at PACE Institute, who attended the event said that the discussion was a very fruitful one as it addressed the significant factors relating to acquiring Red Hat certifications and most importantly, it's positive edge in securing jobs.
