'Train the trainer' workshop for Red Hat trainers at PACE

'Train the trainer' workshop for Red Hat trainers was held on the 19th and 20th of September from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm at the PACE Institute auditorium. This was facilitated by the experienced Red Hat trainer and Consultant Mr. Neju Paul who has nearly 7 years of experience in training and facilitating students and trainers alike.

The training session was attended by PACE Institute Red Hat trainers Mr. Rohan de Silva (B. Sc. IT Special (Hons.), RHCSA, RHCE, RHCI, RHCDS), Mr. Sanath Wickramaarachchi (RHCSA, RHCE),and Mr Hiran Perera (RHCSA, RHCE) . Mr Rohan de Silva is a resource person from PACE Institute's parent company eBEYONDS , and is a part of the PACE knowledge society too.

The training session was conducted with the objective of awarding the trainers the Red Hat Certified Instructor (RHCI) status in order to be qualified to train the students. Tools and techniques to successfully deliver good and interactive training sessions involving student’s emotions, as well as their minds were also delivered during the training..

Mr. Neju Paul insisted on keeping up a dynamic interaction between the instructor and the learners. Main learning outcomes were to comprehend the fundamentals of adult learning and how to structure and deliver a program accordingly, implement good questioning techniques to maximize student engagement, plan successful training sessions with structured session plans for adult learners, deliver individual and group training effectively whilst maintaining audience interest, handle questions with self-assurance and deal with difficult behaviors assertively etc.
