Red Hat examinations are performance-based tests that validate the candidates’ technical skills and knowledge. The Red Hat examinees have to perform real-world tasks during the exam which are similar to those they must perform in real life situations. This is also called hands-on or practical testing. All Red Hat certification exams are performance-based tests and Red Hat is the industry leader in IT performance-based testing.
The performance-based RHCSA Exam (EX200) tests students’ knowledge and skills in areas of system administration common across a wide range of environments and deployment scenarios. A RHCE certification exam tests knowledge, skill, and ability required of a senior system administrator responsible for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Individuals who earn these certifications benefit by having official, impartial validation of their skills and knowledge.
